Trained as a Chartered Accountant with Thornton Baker
(TB) firstly based at their High Wycombe office where
I gained experience preparing accounts for small local
businesses with incomplete records and then at their Sheffield
office where I gained experience of preparing accounts
for industrial based companies.
Employed by Peat Marwick Mitchell (KPMG) where I gained
experience on large audits of multinational companies.
Qualified and was admitted as a member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Employed by a local practice in Wokingham, Berkshire
as a Tax manager. Where I gained experience of attendance
at enquiry hearings, commissioners hearings and also
dealt with the tax affairs of small local businesses.
Applied for practising certificate from the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and
was accepted in 1984. I then set up my own practice
as a sole practitioner. Whilst increasing my client
base I was also an examiner for the tutorial companies
who help the students pass their examinations for admission
to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
and Wales.
In 2003, I moved office to 5 The Square, Bagshot and
increased facilities.
Qualifications
1980
passed examinations and was admitted an associate member
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
& Wales(ACA).
1984 Accepted
as a member entitled to practice as member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
1990 gained
Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England & Wales(FCA).
1993 applied
for and was granted audit registration as authorised
by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England
& Wales.
